The Design my Room Thrifty service provides you with expert design and styling knowledge in the comfort of your own home. With reconditioning, reusing and up-cycling at the forefront of our creative minds, we will transform your new room over 3 days using new and existing decor.

→ Initial home visit & consult; its so important to us that we provide a face to face service in order to really understand your personality and desired home style direction. In this part of the service we will look at your current decor, assess what is re-usable and re-stylable and what your budget allocations are.

→ New home style mood board design & supply; according to our detailed investigation of your personality and style requirements we will set about designing a mood board that will direct the look and feel of this job. The mood board will be supplied to you in pdf format via the email you have provided when purchasing this product. Upon approval of this mood board we will conduct the next step in this styling process. (This service includes one round of design changes to the supplied mood board. If further changes are required you will be charged at $100/hr. Please feel rest assured this has never be requested before).

→ Budget set and ready to shop; in this stage of the project we ensure we are on the same page financially. We pride ourselves on working to your budget, and doing more with less. We suggest you allocate somewhere between $200 - $2000 for your shopping budget (as this project covers our time and ideas only). We are more than happy to get thrifty to work to a minimal budget as well as utilising your existing beloved home decor pieces.  If you are able to spend a little more on high quality feature products for your new home style, you will not be disappointed with the results of our continued research and development in this area. We know shopping. We know the best hidden gem boutiques, local bespoke home decor hide-outs, vintage stores (retail and home based) where we can collect you the absolute best and most unique pieces to match your mood board style. It is our ability to network with the owners of these unique stores and our regular buying that enables us to provide you with serious value for money.

→ Second Home Visit: the styling work begins; With our fresh eyes we are able to rethink the use of certain objects in your home and incorporate the unique and custom designed pieces in a half day style-blitz within your home. To give you the best and biggest surprise, we prefer to work alone, so you can come back to your new room and be wowed by the transformation. Free of charge we bring along all the tools of our trade. Including: hammer, nails, picture hooks, tape, screw hooks, drill kit, fabrics (if sourced in shopping budget) and sewing machine for any last minute touch-ups). We suggest that you have cleaning products available for our minimal use. For the best results it is necessary for you to have your house cleaned thoroughly before we embark on this stage of the re-styling process. A clean and uncluttered canvas will give you value for money and amazing results.
